WANTED: 
Family Member Participation
for
Statewide Needs Assessment

 

Texas A& M University’s Center on Disability and Development
in partnership with
the Texas Cooperative Extension
and
Family To Family Network

Will be conducting a statewide needs assessment of family member’s of individuals with disabilities.  The purpose is to better understand:

1) What tools or supports families may need/want within their communities;
2) How Extension Agents can better link families with resources in their area; and
3) How the Cooperative Extension can provide additional training or educational
programs for families.

 

  • Family members are asked to participate in 1 meeting in the area where they live.
  • Meetings will be approximately 4 hours in duration during the day

(approx. 10 am - 2 pm with lunch included). 

  • Participants will be reimbursed for necessary local mileage/travel costs, along with a small stipend for their time.

 

The proposed locations & dates are as follows:

April 13, 2007                        Dallas/Fort Worth area
April 27, 2007                        El Paso area

May 15, 2007                        Lubbock and Pan Handle area
May 16, 2007                        San Angelo West Texas area
June 1, 2007                         Weslaco and South Texas area
                                   
June 8, 2007                         Nacogdoches and East Texas area
